Jamie Bain

Jamie started working for BT in 1998 (around the same time they started rolling out ADSL) as a service engineer; installing and repairing analogue lines in homes and businesses in Central London.

A year on he started installing and repairing ISDN lines and new products such as BT's home/business highway digital circuits. The next few years saw residential and business customers increasingly swapping ISDN for the "new" ADSL technology and Jamie started working on ADSL and SDSL circuits; carrying out special fault investigations for customer broadband complaints.

The natural progression from there was Openreach – working for a multitude of service providers such as Talk Talk, Tiscali, Be Unlimited, Sky and Easynet.

It left Jamie with an unparalleled knowledge of the burgeoning “new world” of telecommunications and gave him an intimate knowledge of the inner workings of all the main service providers.

It also showed him that time and again customers were being over-charged for services that simply didn’t justify the fee that was being quoted.

Equipped with the expertise and insight needed to match (and then improve on) the service being provided in the existing marketplace, Jamie founded Tele-Installations and now has a portfolio of clients in the South East that continues to grow and evolve.

And as demand grows for the bespoke, quality service that Tele-Installations continues to provide, so do enquiries into new and exciting areas.

Jamie has now gained his Gity and Guilds 2330 Level 2 in electrotechnical installation and is currently working towards Level 3.

The world of technology demands that you can never stand still.
